True dimensions of 10’x30’ storage units
This is the first lesson we try to teach every customer who calls and inquiries about storage unit sizes. Everyone looks at the square footage (10’x30’ equals 300 square feet of floor space), when in fact they need to look at cubic feet, because every storage unit is eight or ten feet tall, meaning 2400 or 3000 cubic feet for a 10’x30’ unit. And that, right there, is a huge difference. Depending upon the packing job you did, and the strength of storage boxes and/or plastic containers, you can do some serious stacking inside one of these units.
What can they hold?
A storage unit of this size can hold all the furnishings in a 4-5 bedroom home, plus any patio furniture you might have. Consider that for a moment and let it sink in. That is a lot of furniture, and it is easily packed into a 10’x30’ unit. Or, put another way, a one-bedroom home plus car or truck will also fit in those storage spaces.
